Marijn Kool

Marijn Kool is an experienced facilitator of psychedelic ceremonies, a medicine musician, and a university coach in the Netherlands.

Working with psychedelics has been an integral part of his life. As both an ACT coach at the University of Wageningen and a trained mediator, he brings a depth of educational knowledge and compassionate wisdom to his guidance in ceremonies.

Since 2022 he has been welcoming many into deep psychedelic journeys as one of the main facilitators of the Spinoza Akademia in the Netherlands. Marijn uses different kinds of breathwork to support and align the ceremonial space and shares his music and mantras.

Marijn completed his MSc. in Economics in 2011 at the University of Amsterdam. He worked as an economics and mathematics teacher at the university from 2012 until 2016.

From 2016 until 2018 Marijn lived in the quiet hills of Portugal to volunteer at Monte Sahaja: a contemplative centre for self-realisation, founded by Advaita master Mooji.

He feels a resonance with many spiritual lineages and practices, among which Tibetan Buddhism, the wisdom tradition Huna of Hawaii, anthroposophy, and native cultures of the Amazon rainforest.

Since 2021 Marijn has been coaching student teams for the University of Wageningen on personal development and communication, within the context of an interdisciplinary MSc program for consultancy training. He also completed a postgraduate course in Mediation in 2023.

Marijn is a present father for his three young children, next to his wife Veerle. They live in Zutphen, a small town in the east of the Netherlands. On a quiet evening, he loves to take a walk to the riverside and sit under an old tree to watch the sunset, the birds and the reflections on the water.”
